On our family farm, Ortofloricola San Giorgio, we produce organic citrus fruits<\/strong> with a focus on old indigenous Sicilian varieties such as blood oranges<\/strong> and femminello lemons<\/strong>.
From November to June, we grow a large selection of different oranges<\/strong>, lemons<\/strong> and mandarins<\/strong> as well as pomegranates<\/strong>, avocados<\/strong>, bitter oranges<\/strong>, prickly pears<\/strong> and olives<\/strong>.<\/p>\nOur harvest calendar<\/h2>\n
Our oranges are harvested by experienced hands, hand-picked and left in their natural state – for pure taste straight from the tree to you.<\/span><\/h2>\n
Rudolf Freiherr von Freyberg-Eisenberg<\/strong><\/em> has been running the estate, which has been in our family for thousands of years, for almost 40 years. Rudolf has been converting the farm to organic farming for 15 years, but out of conviction and passion he goes much further than what the organic guidelines prescribe. This made it possible for the estate to be awarded the “Wildlife Estate Label<\/strong>” by the ELO(European Landowners Organization<\/strong>). <\/p>\n
For this reason, we have decided to invest in sustainability projects.
As we grow, the changes we can make for the good of the environment grow with us.
