The San Giorgio Estate
The San Giorgio estate surrounding presents unmatched charm. Located between Mount Etna and the sea in one of the most inspiring areas of Sicily, it is a land of lush gardens, hillsides, pastures and orange groves. The beating heart of the domain is 120 hectares of commercial horticultural coltivations, the majority being high quality organic varieties of citrus.Geographically positioned in eastern Sicily, which has always been the prime region for the production of the sweatest blood oranges. Rudolf Freiherr von Freyberg-Eisenberg has been running the estate,which our family has owned for many generations, for almost 40 years. Rudolf has converted the Farm to organic almost 15 years ago, but out of conviction and passion he goes much further than what the organic guidelines specify. This made it possible for the San Giorgioestate to be awarded the “Wildlife Estate Label” by the ELO (European Landowners Organization).
